Insurance & Billing

Lincoln Orthopaedic Center participates with many insurance carriers and several HMO and PPO organizations. We recommend you contact your insurance carrier for specific coverage details.

If you belong to an HMO or PPO, we will follow the guidelines set forth in those plans. Please be sure to bring a referral form with you for your appointment, if it is applicable. Services cannot be rendered without prior authorization.

If you have other insurance, we will file it for you as a courtesy if we have your complete insurance information and assignment of benefits. However, please remember your insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company.

Payment to us is your responsibility. If we file insurance for you, payment will be due in full at the end of 30 days from the date of service, whether or not your insurance company has remitted payment by that time. Please keep in mind that not all services are covered benefits in all contracts. Some insurance companies arbitrarily select certain services they will not cover.

If you do not carry insurance, payment is due at the time services are rendered unless payment arrangements have been approved in advance. Cash, personal checks, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.

Contact us promptly if temporary financial problems will affect timely payment of your account, to prevent your account from going to collections.
